Immediate Appliance Takes the Plunge, Sponsors Toms River Knights of Columbus For Special Olympics

On February 25, Immediate Appliance Service, Inc. of Freehold, NJ sponsored the Toms River Knights of Columbus (Council 4969) in the annual Polar Bear Plunge for Special Olympics in Seaside Heights.

Over the course of the chilly one-day event, the Knights raised over $6,000 for the cause, which benefits the Special Olympics New Jersey and provides over 25,000 local Special Olympics participants and young athletes with disabilities year-round sports training, leadership opportunities, competitive events and health screenings.

“I am incredibly proud of the Special Olympics participants here in New Jersey, and proud of the Toms River Knights of Columbus who worked so hard to raise money for this important cause,” says Rob Gerrity, owner and CEO of Immediate Appliance. “We look forward to participating again next year!”
