Officially HVACR Certified!

Congratulations are in order for Immediate Appliance Service CEO and senior technician Rob Gerrity, who—as of May 2017—is officially HVACR certified by the State of New Jersey as a Master HVACR Contractor.

Per a new law recently passed in New Jersey, technicians who work on HVACR systems are required to not only be EPA-certified, but licensed through consumer affairs as well. With nearly 30 years in the business, Immediate Appliance is proud to announce our license and wish to encourage consumers to make informed choices when it comes to booking repair service on sealed systems.

According to Consumer Affairs, the State Board of HVACR Examiners licenses contractors by ensuring that:
1.) all heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration contractors meet all educational requirements for licensure
2.) heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration contractors who have broken the state’s consumer protection laws are investigated and
3.) all heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration contractors are required to be licensed by the state and to renew their licenses every two years
